Our Executive Team
Dr. Alex Koziarz is a statistician, radiology resident, and founder/CEO of Koziarz Consulting. He completed his Master's Degree in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University, Doctor of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and is currently pursuing diagnostic radiology residency at McMaster University.
He has extensive experience in designing and completing systematic reviews, meta-analyses, cohort studies, and randomized controlled trials. He has published over 50 papers in journals such as The Lancet, The BMJ, and Annals of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Koziarz offers assistance in designing study protocols, statistical analysis, and manuscript editing. He offers an individualized approach when completing research papers with each client.

Rui (Ricky) Shen, JD, MBE
Lead Strategist
Rui “Ricky” Shen is a lawyer and serves as the lead strategist for Koziarz Consulting. He received his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University in Toronto.
Ricky also completed a Masters of Bioethics at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. While at Harvard, Ricky was extensively involved in bioethical and legal research. Furthermore, he has previously interned for the United Nations, and investigated complex legal issues on human rights laws in South East Asia.
His research interests focus on the ethical implications between medicine and law. Ricky is responsible for providing consulting services by using his in-depth research knowledge and legal expertise. As lead strategist, Ricky evaluates and approves processes involving implementation of research, identification of project opportunities, and business management.
